I don’t plan to get one in the future.. I’m just not that attached to any visual symbol enough to have it put on my body for the rest of my life. Nor am I particularly attracted to tattoos. I know that some people find them markers of physical strength (being willing to put up with the pain), of commitment (you must feel really strongly about unicorns to have one on your shoulder blade forever), or mere decoration.
I think I prefer my people plain. But hey, to each his or her own. Many of the people I know of have tattoos of one form or another. Some of them are quite attractive; one in particular has some fantastically fine lines. The artist has a real gift. And others.. well, I hope you like that tramp stamp, cos’ it’s going to be there for a while.
